怎樣的譯員容易失去市場？
對于口譯員而言，進入市場、發展客戶可能只有幾種固定的套路或方式，但失去市場和客戶的方法卻很多，也許套用那部電影的題目，可以稱作《退出市場的一百萬種方法》。

一、水平不濟

沒有哪個客戶愿意雇傭水平或資質不夠的譯員。試想如果一個譯員詞匯量貧瘠得連大學四級的水平都達不到，張口滿是語法錯誤，語音語調古怪到極點，恐怕簡歷寫得再精彩也不會在市場長久立足。

在翻譯市場，每年都有若干老手暫時或永久性地退出市場，原因可能各不相同：自覺年紀大了，找到了朝九晚五、旱澇保收的固定職業；進入國內外的高等學府繼續深造以提高水平；結婚生子；退居二線，轉向翻譯公司的經營管理……應該看到，正是這些資深譯員的退出，給了新人進入市場的機會。但新人能否填補老手留下的空缺就是另一個問題了。
